बर्फ शिवलिंग दर्शन से मिटे सभी विकार ॥ — Devotional verse on Amarnath Mahadev
The Amarnath Dham is one of the most sacred Jyotirlinga-equivalent shrines in the Hindu tradition. Located at 3,888m above sea level in a remote Himalayan cave in Kashmir, it houses a naturally formed ice Shivalinga — believed to grow and shrink with the phases of the moon. Witnessing this divine phenomenon is a deeply transformative experience.
Every summer, hundreds of thousands of devotees undertake this challenging trek, guided by absolute faith. Our 7-day package covers Srinagar, Pahalgam (traditional route), and the sacred cave — with all safety measures in place.
The beautiful valley of Kashmir
Arrive in Srinagar and check in to a houseboat or hotel by Dal Lake. Visit the Shankaracharya temple in the evening — a sacred Shiva shrine perched on a hilltop above the city. Briefing about the yatra route and preparation.
Base camp of the yatra
Drive to the picturesque town of Pahalgam (2,130m). Explore Betab Valley and Aru Valley. Register for the yatra and collect your RFID health card — mandatory for all pilgrims. Overnight at Pahalgam.
First day of the sacred trek
Begin the trek from Chandanwari (2,895m) to Sheshnag (3,720m) — 16km of breathtaking Himalayan trail. Pass through Pissu Top and the stunning Sheshnag Lake. Camp overnight by the sacred lake.
Crossing the highest point
Trek 14km from Sheshnag to Panchtarni, crossing the Mahagunas Pass at 4,293m. The views of snow peaks are spectacular. Arrive at Panchtarni — from where the Holy Cave is just 6km away.
The supreme moment of the yatra
